The Jamboree was WONDERFUL!!!  Erica did an amazing job!  Thanks to all that supported this event (and had a good time too)!  We love you all! 

As of September 20th (before this event) $ 320.00 has been sent to the Autism Society in memory of Alyssa. 

WOW!!!!!!! The only word I can come up with!!! As a result of our wonderful friends and family getting together for a good time (and raising money!) an additional donation was made to the Autism Society in the amount of $540.00 in the memory of Alyssa!

Why the Autism Society?

This past year our family has been directly effected by autism.  Not only do we both work with children with special needs (Ryan at the high school level and Michele with babies), but our amazing nephew has recently been diagnosed with autism.  He continues to make amazing progress - because of the love and care given to him by his family, therapists, and teachers.  As a family Jerry and JoAnn (mom and dad to Eric) have done so much to help Ryan and I.  We may seem worlds apart, being 645 miles away from each other, but we know that they will always be there for us.  When we lost our precious Alyssa, we wanted friends and family to donate to a cause that would reflect on who we are.  We also felt this was the perfect opportunity to show Eric (our nephew) that we might not be able to hug and kiss him all the time, we may not be able to hold his hand and help him with all his needs, but we can try to make a difference in his life by donating money to an organization that might help discover treatments that will make a difference in his future. 

We love Eric so much and wish we could do so much more!!!!!
