About Us

Our Misson

While respectfully honoring our precious angel, it is our mission to raise awareness and funds to support families of children with special needs.  It is the mission of the Spreading the Wings of Angels Foundation to serve as many children as possible, yet knowing that we cannot save the world and help everyone.  We will strive to raise funds through various events so that we can fulfill as many wishes as possible.

Who We Are

Our family consists of the typical two parents and two children.  We live in Fort Thomas, KY.  Ryan is a technology education teacher and a football/track coach for Highlands High School.  I am a developmental interventionist and primary level evaluator for First Steps.  I work with children ages birth to three with special needs in their homes.  Rylee is your 3 year old who is full of love and "cute" humor.  Rylee insists that she is a BIG sister!  Alyssa is our angel.  She is not physically here with us on earth, but she surrounds us with her beauty and happiness in her own way.  She shines heaven's skies and visits us with gentle breezes on our cheeks.  We are a family that has suffered the worst loss imaginable.  We are a family that is determined to keep Alyssa's memory alive.  We are a family that visits a cemetary on a daily basis to be sure that both of our children are kissed goodnight.  When asked how many children we have, we gently respond: two, one in heaven and one on earth.

Don't let them say I wasn't born,

That something stopped my heart,

I felt each tender squeeze you gave,

I've loved you from the start.

Although my body you can not hold,

It doesn't mean that I am gone,

This world was worthy, not, of me,

God chose that I move on.

I know the pain that drowns your soul,

What you are forced to face,

You have my word, I'll fill your arms,

Someday we will embrace.

You'll hear that it was "meant to be

God doesn't make mistakes",

But know that won't soften your worst blow,

or make your hearts not ache.

I'm watching over all you do,

Another child you will bear,

Believe me when I say to you,

That I am always there.

They'll come a time, I promise you,

When you will hold my hand,

Stroke my face and kiss my lips,

And then you'll understand.

Although I've never breathed your air,

Or gazed into your eyes,

That doesn't mean I never "was"

An angel never dies...
